E’ un omaggio ai tempi andati del Commodore 64 (ma anche di altri, vedi Sinclair Spectrum) quando per iniziare a giocare a un gioco bisognava aspettare interminabili minuti di caricamento osservando bande colorate.

Ai tempi ero un ragazzino e l’attesa era sempre logorante; vi erano poi alcuni giochi che erano una vera e propria tortura per quanto riguarda le lungaggini di caricamento, mi ricordo in particolare Lo Hobbit, un’avventura grafica che impiegava a caricarsi se non sbaglio quasi 20 minuti! sto ovviamente parlando del caricamento tramite audiocassetta, il disk drive abbattè molto questo problema. Tant’è che l’attesa era croce e delizia.

Il titolo del quadro è una parodia di una celebre opera dei primi anni ’90 di uno dei più prezzolati e discussi artisti del xxi secolo ossia Sir Damien Hirst. Avete presente lo squalo imbalsamato e messo in ammollo? quell’opera si intitola “The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living”…sono proprio un ragazzaccio eh?

In italiano il titolo della mia opera suona circa così “Premere Play sul registratore – L’impossibilità fisica di gioco nella mente di una persona che sta aspettando che il gioco si carichi”.

Una curiosità: le mani di fata che hanno realizzato la maglia non sono le mie ma di quella santa di mia moglie!

It ‘a homage to the old days of the Commodore 64 (as well as others, e.g. Sinclair Spectrum) when you had to wait long minutes to start playing a game while you were staring at colored bands.

Title of my work is a parody of a famous work of the early ’90s of one of the most discussed and payed artists of the twenty-first century, Sir Damien Hirst. You know the shark embalmed and  soaked? I’m just a bad boy huh!

A curiosity:  fairy hands that created the knitting are not mine but that holy of my wife!

Это дань Commodore 64 и загрузочные экраны.

Название картины является пародией на знаменитую работу начала 90-х Дэмиена Херста «Физическая невозможность смерти в сознании человека, живущего”
